Before you message a breeder — check them in the Dogerra registry. A real kennel is transparent: dogs, pedigrees, litter history — not just words in a listing.

The most common scam in the puppy market is a reseller posing as a kennel: they buy puppies in bulk from real breeders (sometimes without paperwork) and resell them as "their own", with no history and often no vaccinations. The Dogerra registry shows a kennel transparently: how many dogs it has, how many litters it's had, and whether pedigrees are visible — things a reseller can't fake. If a kennel isn't in the registry, that's not a verdict, but it's a reason to check documents and pedigree separately before transferring any money.
